David Bacek

David Bacek has an extra-special attachment to our community. He grew up in Schertz, where he graduated from Clemens High School. While attending Clemens, he was part of the automotive technology program.

This early love of cars blossomed into a full-blown passion. After graduating high school, David continued studying automotive repair at St. Philips College. This launched him into a career as a foreign vehicle repair specialist.

David married his high school sweetheart Dana in 2000. They stayed in the area to raise their three children, John, Dylan, and Elainna.

David loves spending his free time at his kids’ sporting events, participating in family activities, helping friends with projects, and golfing (if he can get away). These activities keep David connected to the community he cares so much about.

David was the first technician hired at Schertz Auto Service in 2003. He has faithfully helped build the shop from the ground up. David is an ASE Master Certified Technician with the highest level of drivability L1 endorsement! In recognition of his professional accomplishment and dedication, David was asked to become a partner in the company in 2017.

David is attuned to the ever-changing world of automotive technology. He participates in frequent continuing education to maintain a competitive edge. He encourages his teammates at the shops to do the same. You can find David immersed in workshops, webinars, events, and articles to keep his skills sharp.

Providing honest advocacy for the automotive needs of his community is one way David has found to give back. His quiet demeanor makes him approachable and unassuming. Underneath his calm exterior is an excitement for quality and an eagerness to serve.
