auto repair in sELMA, tx

Map of Selma

In 1845, Selma, TX was first settled by immigrants of various descents, particularly German. At the turn of the century, the population peaked at 600. Selma stagnated and dropped in size to just 100 people, that is until recently. Selma has exploded in size, growing from a modest 800 people in the year 2000 to nearly 10,000 residents currently.

Selma’s rapid growth has come on the heels of The Forum’s opening, as well as the Retama Racing Park. The Forum is a massive outdoor mall that draws visitors — and residents — to the city’s doorstep all year long. Retama Park is a highly rated horse racing track that hosts top-caliber competitors.

Selma has come a long way since the early days as a stagecoach stop for Harrison and McCulloch. Now, the city spans three counties – Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe – along the Old Austin Road (Interstate 35).
